Now this is as simple as I can make it. These basic principles are the foundation of real life financial knowledge in buying a home.
Planning, understand what type of home you desire/need. Do you have a large family or intend to have one? The number of bathrooms, storage space and yard space could be of significance. Make a checklist with the must haves on one side and the would be nice on the other side. Use this to record information about the homes you are looking at.
Perseverance, Expect to be looking at a few open homes and talking to builders. Sometimes a good deal gets snatched out of your grasp. Don't be downhearted, good homes are like buses, there is always another one coming along soon. Take pictures, always have a record of what you saw not what you think you saw.
Preparation, have your finances in order, it is just smart to know how much you can afford before home hunting. You may need to embark on a savings plan,( This should be tip number one).
The stress and frustration of securing finance can be easily negated by a mortgage broker like myself, who can address many scenarios and lenders.I do a thorough investigation to ensure your finances are confirmed, at a competitive interest rate and tailored to suit your lifestyle. There is no "one size fits all" home loan! Remember, this usually is the single most important financial transaction in your life.
